KOR USA: People behind the scenes... First Created July 3, 1998 by Robert Kwong ==================================== Hi everyone! KOR is a great anime, but without adherents and supporters, it wouldn't have lasted as long as it has so far. Here's a glimpse into the colorful people behind the scenes over the years that have had a hand in making KOR the most popular anime of all time. Peter Payne: The English translator of the Shin KOR Novels 1 and 2. He also made a parody combining KOR and Akira. He is now running a successful business at www.jlist.com. Dan Root: The creator of the original KOR Home page whose material and information is used by all KOR page derivatives. Peter Norby: The ex-maintainer of the KOR-chive, one of the strongholds of KOR related material and major anime archive on the internet. (server.berkeley.edu) Robert Woodhead: Love him or hate him, at least he stands up for what he believes in. First brought over the KOR OAVs and movies. Finally agreed to bring over the KOR TV series after about a 3 year petition campaign. Stephen Tsai & Co: He and his group are the creators of the immensely popular Kimagure Orange College (KOC) Series. In the vast, endless glut of obscure fanfiction, his series stands out as the definitive beacon of light by which all fanfics are judged by. Bryan Cacklz: The maintainer of the second longest running KOR homepage on the internet, his homepage provides a refreshing alternative to the main KOR page at Berkeley. Bryan K. Ogawa: The person who help bring the KOR LD peition to light on the web. It started the interest and effort going, culminating in AnimEigo agreeing to release the TV series to the U.S. Craig Nishida: One of main contributors towards the translation of the KOR Manga. Also influential in KOR T-Shirts efforts! Roderick "Agitator" Lee: One of the few KOR "experts" out there whose specialty is with the wonderful music of KOR ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyone else notable I missed?
