Welcome to the 11 oclock News. News Update just in! Just hours after the discovery of the double homicide at the Ayukawa Mansion, the police have detained a suspect. The two slain bodies have not been identified yet, but sources speculate that it is the bodies of Ayukawa Madoka and Kasuga Kyosuke. The female figure was shot fatally in the head while the male body was stabbed several times in the torso and lower body. We now switch to a live shot of the suspect being brought in for questioning. Sources indicate the suspect is female, in her early twenties, and very attractive. She was stopped as she was about to board a plane heading back for New York. [Scene showing crowd gathering around police station as Hikaru Hiyami is led inside.] I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Hikaru couldn't have killed us! This couldn't be possibly be happening. How could I be dead when I'm still here? And why was it 11 oclock? It was suppose to be 9pm only. I better go jump to the police station to find out what's going on... (Flash of light) Just after that, at the door of the Ayukawa Mansion,... [KNOCK..., Knock..., knock...] I transported myself to the interrogation room where they were grilling Hikaru. Inside was three tough looking interrogators looking for blood (no pun intended). They took their turns breaking her down, barage after barage. "Come on lady. Don't give me that innocent goody goody look. We are know you're the killer! Spill your guts and admit it. We've got the goods on you. Now look! We found the gym bag with the bloody aerobic clothes you've stashed in the airport locker. We have footage of airport surveillance and camers showing you putting the bag in the locker. And it would be relatively easy to match your fingerprints to those found on the evidence." "Yeah. You're only making it harder on yourself. Who knows? If you confess, you might get life in prison rather than the death penalty. It'll be to your own benefit." "Either way, you're as good as gone. But what I'm curious about is why did you do it?" "Yeah, we have sworn statements from relatives of the family and friends of the slain victims detailing your close, tight-knit relationship with the deceased couple. It just doesn't make sense." [shot of Hikaru, with flood light shined directly into her haggard, worn out, wrinkled up, droopy eyed face. Head tilted sideways supported by her left hand.] (Basically looks like 1 of the people in the anti-smoking commercials) (Hikaru, laughing sardonically, with the look of a condemened person waiting to be shot by a firing squad.) [low, deep, wicked voice] "Of course it makes sense," she purrs. " Perfect sense." "What are you talking about lady? Are you nuts?" "She probably wants us to believe she's crazy so she'll plead insanity." "WILL YOU ALL JUST SHUT UP! I'VE BEEN HERE FOR THREE HOURS AND I'VE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH YOUR SHITTY TALK. If you don't stop, I might change my mind about my confession." (Glares at them and the 3 investigators looked flabergasted and shocked at her outburst.) (psychotic killer voice) "Gooood. Here goes. You may turn on the recorder if you like." "Jimmy! Load up the tape. NOW!" (narrative voice) The whole affair was precipitated by events which occured three years ago. Me and Kasuga -- we were a thing. High school sweethearts. But that bitch, that backstabber, my best friend, ... she had to take him away from me. I couldn't believe she would do this to me. I tried everything in my power to win him back. I called his house daily, passed messages to his sisters to give to him, and even sent him homebaked cookies and sweets at his dorm. But he coldly refused my advances. As a last ditch effort, I confronted him, on that bridge, imploring him not to let me go. But he had already made up his mind. He pushed me off, tossed me aside, like a piece of trash. It was then I knew it was over between us. After that encounter, I couldn't bear to face them again. I thought I could run away from my heartbreak. First I moved to Hokkaido. But that wasn't enought. They still felt too near. So, I moved to New York to pursue my dreams as a dancer. But even being half-around the world didn't isolate me from the pain I felt. Consequently, I failed at everything I tried during those tormenting three years. I had scores of other men in my life: some good, some bad. The sex wasn't bad, but there was no intimacy. It felt dirty, and I felt used. I knew I had to get outta this hellhole fast. I had one last shot. My friend told me of a promising play opening up in Tokyo, where auditions were being held for dancers. I saw it as my last chance at stardom. I scraped together all the money I had just to pay for the ticket and hotel accomdations. I was all set. I going to "go for broke." I wasn't sure what to do when my plane landed in Narita. My audition wasn't until later in the afternoon. So I decided to go back to a place very dear to me: the Green Castle Apartments where my Darling resided. I often went over to his place to talk to his sisters or be with him. Little did I know that I would bump right into him! He was the same Kyosuke I remembered. He looked like he just stepped right out of the past. How little he changed and how much I did. Despite our bitter breakup , we were pleasant to each other. In fact, I'd enjoyed the conversation we were having, until stupid Sugizawa called and ruined everything. I could also sense something wrong with Kyosuke. Like a rift between him and Madoka. And the perfect opportunity for me to come back into his life. So it was not a total lost -- I would have my chance at him later. I went through the usual jitters during my audition, but I felt I did quite well. I danced like I've never danced before. I felt I'd impressed the socks off the judges. That had to give me the part, whether they liked it or not. And it was no small part I was going for, no siree! It was a major part which would be a stepping stone to my success as a star! I felt good after my audition. I knew what my next move would be. To see if I could muster up one last fling with Darling. I went over to the area where he always seem to be counting steps. Just as I expected, there he was, wandering aimlessly along those steps counting. Always counting those GOD-DAMN STEPS! What was it with those steps anyway? Afraid he was going to trip on one of them? Anyhow, this was where I made my move. We went over to the hotel where I was staying and had dinner. I displayed my social ettiquette, ordering some fancy wine and acting very sophisticated. I could tell he was impressed with me. I wanted to know how bad the rift was between he and Madoka, so I questioned why he was hiding out from her, feining to be missing in Bosnia. I pretended to be sympathetic to his situation, coddling him. We drank and laughed all night long. We then went back to my hotel room. I excused myself into the bathroom to put on a little special something for Kasuga to get him into the mood. I wanted to seduce him that night, so he would be mine forever. Once we were joined together, no one could ever come between us. But when I came out, he was out cold, drunk, fast asleep on my bed. He was in no condition for any action that night. So I took a shower and slept beside him. Lying beside him all night would be my consolation prize. The next day would proved to be the most terrible day of my life. First, my Darling left my room, without incident, and without me having a chance to get at him. Next, I got a call from Hayakawa telling me I didn't get the part. He offered to find another spot for him, but I told him off; I was star material! I was not going to accept no two-bit replacement part. Last, at the airport terminal, my flight was delayed because the real Kyosuke had come back safely aboard a UN jet and into the loving arms of my rival Madoka. It was sickening as I watched the whole event from above the escalator. I went into the bathroom and cried my eyes out. The whole affair had been an elaborate hoax! The two of them probably planned the whole thing just to get back at me. I was devastated, crushed out of any hope. I had nothing to live for. But if I wasn't ever going to be happy again, then I would make sure that they wouldn't be alive to enjoy their happiness. Yes, I plotted to have them killed. It was the only way I would be rid of them once and for all. One thing I did learn in America is to never bottle-up your feelings inside. You should let it out, so you're feel better. Another thing I learned was that the only way to ever solve your problems was through violence. So killing the two lovebirds would finally alleviate the pain I had been carrying for years. Like killing two birds with one stone. (Evil laugh emanating from Hikaru) I figured they were planning a romantic evening alone, so I made preparations for the dirty deed. I assembled a concealed gun I was hiding in my suitcase. It was a gift from my Italian boyfriend and very handy, especially if you live on the streets of NY. I bought and prepared a ginsu knife from one of the local shops for the "special" occasion. I then proceeded to the mansion and hid out back in the bushes. I peered through the window, observing their whole evening together. It was sickening, hearing them laughing and having a great time. They drank, danced, and later screwed around in the living room. But I smiled, knowing the fate that awaited them. Let their joyful time together be their "last meal." It was around midnight when I made my move. The two of them were in bed upstairs. I rang the doorbell and hid myself, to the left of the doorway. Madoka opened it and looked around. As she turned her head into my direction, I whipped out my gun and shot her, right between the eyes. She collapsed to the ground and died instantly. Darling, upon hearing the shot, came rushing down to investigate, yelling Madoka's name. It was in vain. As he saw her motionless, bloodied body lying on the pavement, he was overcome with remorse. He put his hands to his face, sobbed, and bent over her cold dead body. That would be his final mistake. It was the "opportunity" I was waiting for. I sunk the ginsu right through the base of his neck and yanked it out. He had that terrified look cemented to his face. But I wasn't done yet. I wanted revenge and I wanted more. He was still alive, but barely; I had only ruptured his vocal chords, sending his brain into psychosis. He couldn't think at all; just feel-- all the pain I was about to inflict on him. I proceeded to count down a list of all my past grievances. With the mention of each instance, I slashed a different part of his body. When I was through, he was in shreds, suffering gloriously to the end. "I'm still confused; Why did you choose a different method to murder your victims by?" Oh,... you mean like this (mimics gun-shooting motion) BANG! ? Just a pecuiliar quirk of mine. Despite hating Madoka for stealing my boyfriend, she still had been my best friend since we were small. To "repay" her, I decided that she didn't have to suffer as much. She still had to die for crossing me, but I didn't want her to bear the agony and pain of a slow death. So I made it short and sweet. Even Amy Fischer couldn't have done it better. Boy, was she one sassy bitch! "And for the deceased male victim, did you based it upon the movie 'Fatal Attraction'?" How did you guess? Now you're catching on. That was justice, Hikaru style! Kasuga -- he was the one who caused me to turn into this psychopath. And to think I use to be a nice, cute, sweet, adorable, innocent little girl. (Evil cackle) But no more! All's that changed. Thank you Kyosuke, thank you New York, thank you world for turning me into the person I now am. I'm fed up and I'm not going to take it anymore! I want to hack and hack like I did to Sempai like this! And this! (mimics Psycho's Norman Bates slashing motion; She just have gone off the deep end and is in hysterics! It takes several men at the table to restrain her and subdue her. All the while, we still hear Hikaru yelling venomously : HACK! HACK! HACK!!!!) (scREAM!) "Kasuga. What's happening to you? Wake up! You're having a nightmare!" "What? Where am I?" I shook my head to get my bearings straight. "Awww! I have this terrible headache!" "You must have had a nasty dream tonight. Probably flashbacks from the Balkan experience. It'll be all right. Let me massage that for you." (Ding Dong!) "Hmmm. Midnight. I wonder who could that be at this time of night. You stay put while I go take a look" (Halfway down the stairs...) "Midnight? Oh no! Madoka! StOP! NOOOOooooooo! *BANG!* [FINI]
