The VCD format's advantage lies in its size rather than the picture quality. We all know that LD's picture quality is much better than VCD. The next consideration is the price - VCD is cheaper than LD. Besides, market outside Japan is much taken by storm with VCD/DVD. I don't know about U.S though. The Shin KOR Movie(released 1996) distributed by POP-&-IN in HK does not provide an English translation of the sub-title(it has the main title "Capricious Orange Road" on it), instead, the original japanese title is on the cover. But it IS the same release on 2 VCDs: the first CD cover is a potrait of Madoka with the red hat, the second CD cover is Kyosuke and Madoka toasting each other. Yes, KOR is available in Cantonese dialect. Not surprising though, because the predominant lingua franca in HK is Cantonese. But being a non-speaker of the dialect, I prefer to stick with the original Japenese dialogue and the Chinese sub-title translation. In Singapore, it is impossible to obtain the Japanese releases of KOR music CDs. I've tried HMV Singapore, and the result is negative. Taiwan provides a good alternative. Perhaps the U.S side can take note of this. Somehow I am unable to find Rob Kwong's email address. Please take a little trouble to forward this to him and the KOR fans out there! Will visit your site soon. The computers in National University of Singapore are much sought after by students, I only have time to flip through the mailboxes. See you!
